Congratulations 2007 Pepsi
Champions!
Brandon McGinnes, Noah Clark, Deanna Carrillo & Ashley Ajimura
They along with Monica Davis (Surf
Bowl), Kevin Zelenak (Premier
Travel), Richard Lozano
(Action Lanes) and Nick Fraser (AMF Hemet) will be
representing California at the National Finals in Buffalo, New York
this July.
Congratulations Noah!
Welcome to the 2007
California Pepsi USBC Youth Championships. The Pepsi
Championships will be conducted in six (6) divisions: Boys’
11-Under Handicap, Girls’ 11-Under Handicap, Boys’ 12-Up
Handicap, Girls’ 12-Up Handicap, Boys’ 12-Up Scratch, Girls’
12-Up Scratch. The 11-under division bowlers will earn
scholarships at the District Finals
and
the 12-up division bowlers will earn scholarships at the State
Finals (MAY 5-6, 2007 – CLASSIC BOWLING CENTER, DALY CITY).
State Finalists are also competing for berths into either
the Pepsi USBC Youth Championships National Finals or the USBC
USA Jr. Gold National Championships (JULY 2007) both held
in Buffalo, New York. The $2.00 national fee will be applied
again this year. That allocation from the 12-up divisions only
will be submitted directly to USBC to help offset the costs of
the Pepsi National Finals and to help add more earmarked Pepsi
scholarships allocated at the USBC USA Jr. Gold National
Championships.
For the 7th year in
a row,
www.BowlersParadise.com will be sponsoring this event along with Elite Bowling,
www.elitebowling.com.
Both will be donating items for our fundraising raffle at
the district and state finals sites, helping us to raise more
scholarship dollars. We would also like to thank
Brunswick,
Classic
Lanes and
Pin Point Bowling Concepts (located inside AMF Beverly
Bowl) for their bowling ball donations.
Digital Team Photography will also be taking
individual photos at the State Finals, in which 15% of all
proceeds will be donated to this year's scholarship fund. Please support these
sponsors and help us THANK to them for their generous contributions
and support!
Thank you for your
support and participation in the largest scholarship event in
California. Last year we worked extremely hard with your help in
raising funds so that we could award $75,000 in scholarships!
With the rising cost of education, this tournament strongly
benefits many young bowlers on their way to a promising future.
Posters will be provided for your center to display the
tournament dates so everyone in your center will be informed.
Good luck to everyone!
