Congratulations on qualifying to the 2009 Pepsi USBC Youth Championships State Finals event to be held
May 2-3, 2009 at Classic Bowl in Daly City.
Please read the
tournament rules carefully.
Confirmed qualifiers
will be posted online at www.CalUSBC.com. All state finalists
are competing for scholarships. The 12-up scratch division is also
competing for 4 berths (top 2 boys/2 girls) and a travel stipend
into the USBC Jr. Gold Championships (July 11-17 – Indianapolis, Indiana)
as well as competing for additional Pepsi Scholarships. Please
complete the information below in order to participate in the State
Finals.
STATE
FINALS FORMAT: One-time entry.
There is NO FEE at this
level, but you are responsible for your own travel expenses and
arrangements. Each squad is (6) games
of qualifying moving pairs after each game. After all squads are
completed, the overall top (4) bowlers from each division
(16 bowlers total) will qualify to the stepladder roll-off**
held immediately after the last squad on Sunday, May 3. PLAN YOUR SQUAD CHOICE
CAREFULLY. Space is limited and filled on a
first come,
first serve basis. Be aware that if you bowl on Saturday, you may
have to come back for the stepladder roll-offs on Sunday. It will be
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check the standings after each
squad to see if you are in the top four cut. (The Stepladder
roll-off
determines scholarship placement per division and the scratch
division national berths.) The State Finals will be a USBC Sport Certified
event. Sport
members will be eligible for special awards. Alternates will be
notified after the RSVP window has closed.
PLEASE REGISTER ONLY ONCE.
(The first valid attempt will
be your registration. If you need to change your
time, please e-mail us immediately at hpekmpr@yahoo.com.
If
you are a qualifier and cannot participate, please complete the
form below and check the appropriate field in the "squad
choice" so that we may notify the next available
alternate. Note:
Email registrations will NOT be
accepted. Individual RSVP's only.

Acknowledgement |

By
checking this box, I understand that I am choosing my own squad time.
If I selected a Saturday squad, it will be my responsibility to
check the unofficial results after each squad to see if I'm in the
cut and may have to return on Sunday for the roll-off. I also acknowledge
that there is a 0% tolerance for any behavior unbecoming of a youth
bowler showing poor sportsmanship and understand that this is my one
and only warning. I have read the Dress Code in the State Rules and
will bring my current 2008-09 USBC Youth Membership Card for
check-in.

Your registration information will be logged into our system.
You will be
contacted ONLY if there is a problem with
your selection. Your OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION
will be sent to you in the mail. It will contain very
important tournament information and rules for your
reference. Handicap division bowlers will have to submit
average verifications by a certain date, so please read everything carefully so that you are
not disqualified. Have your coach help you if you are in the
Handicap division. We will also post schedules on the website
(www.calusbc.com) as they are
confirmed and processed. Thank you for your participation
in the largest scholarship tournament in California.
Last year, we awarded $70,000 in scholarships to over
200 participants and we hope to beat that amount this year! Travel safely to and from the
tournament and GOOD LUCK at the State Finals.
