CONGRATULATIONS
TENNELLE MILLIGAN
2008 CA STATE QUEENS CHAMPION!

Leanne Hulsenberg, Tennelle Milligan & Al Hollffmann (CUSBC President) Top 8 Finalists: Jennifer Wayne, Darris Ruffner, Tennelle Milligan, Laurie Soto, Jeanette Menacho, Paige Woodard, Jill Creamer & Leanne Hulsenberg

The California State Queens was held August 16-17 at West Lane Bowl in Stockton. Tennelle remained undeafeated throughout the field of 30 in the double-elimination finals and triumphed over Leanne Hulsenberg in the championship match shooting 277 for the title. Along with the title, Tennelle earns an entry into the 2009 USBC National Queens event and an entry into the 2009 California State Queens in Orange County. In the finals, Tammy Lewis earned the high game bonus award with a 278 and Tennelle took the high two-game series award with a 535. In the Last Chance qualifier held just prior to the finals, Jeanette Menacho was top qualifier taking the high series bonus award with a 1,435 six game set and high game of 280. We will have some modifications to the event next year such as seeded qualifiers and cutting to the top 16. We need everyone’s help in getting the ladies (youth and adult) to participate and see who is the best female bowler in California!

Special THANKS to our Queens event sponsors: Storm Bowling, Vise Grips and Elitebowling.com and to West Lane Bowl for being such a great tournament site.
