All active CUSBC scholarships have been sent to SMART.  Please check with SMART to make sure that the correct funds are matching with your records. Create your USBC SMART login so that you can check your scholarship online and annually.  Be sure to download the correct request form that you need. It seems that almost every youth bowling tournament in California is becoming a scholarship event.  There may not be thousands of dollars available at every event, but of course, every little bit helps.  Below is a list of some of the scholarship events available.  If you know of a scholarship event that is not listed, please send the pertinent information to us.  Send info here.  
  
TIPS ON MANAGING YOUR SCHOLARSHIP MONEY:  Not all scholarship events are managed by the USBC SMART program.  The SMART program sends out statements annually to scholarship recipients to let them know how much money they have holding.  If you don't receive an annual letter from your tournament club or from the tournament director, keep your records in order so that you don't get short changed and ask or remind them about it too.  Some tournaments/leagues will hold your funds until the age of 25 and some until 21.  If you are close to that age, make sure that you keep in communication with them so that you don't lose your funds from negligence.  Your information of address, phone, etc. is also very important.  Younger bowlers who earn scholarships and who won't use the funds for many years, may move to another location and be lost from contact.  That scholarship fund might get lost too, unless you forward your new information to those tournament directors.  How would they know whether or not you have since moved?

California USBC Youth Scholarship

Applicants must be youth members of the California USBC Association. Scholarships may be awarded each year, but not necessarily every year and will be awarded only once to a recipient in a division.  Points are graded for both academic and bowling participation. Award is renewable up to four years. One boy and one girl each is eligible per division.
